If I had stupid money, I would geek out on that. Then again, with that sort of money I would not stop at a Carrera T, and would probably get something that has center locking.

Also, you can buy the whole kit for $1,100.

I was going to say you can buy them after the fact from Suncoast for less. I grant you that there are other Porsche dealers that will sell them for even less. There are plenty that typically outdo Suncoast.

Sure. But in the world of the outrageous, pretty bad-ass-looking, titanium wheel bolts for >$1k is not as crazy as other things.

Did you guys see the C&D review of the new Ferrari 296 GTB where they show all the options? The CF rear diffuser is $12k(!!!). And I thought the one for the M5 at ~$1200 was pricey. The CF wheels are $34k.

Just got my C&D issue in the mail and looking forward to it!

I guess its a matter of perspective. If you go from a Toyota to a BMW, the option prices will seem absurd. Then from BMW to Porsche, BMW will look like an amazing deal. And then of course from Porsche to Ferrari its another jump up in option absurdity. IIRC, Ferrari used to charge something like $4k for Apple Carplay!

Deleted and reposting because I am surprised nobody has made comment re this, more specifically those vertical slats as it is much a reality at this point.

i saw that last time you posted. My reaction was they look the same as all the other spy shots of the test mules. It will be interesting to see the .2 in real pics with the remaining cladding removed, the various finishes / textures to the non body color surfaces applied, etc. Until then, it's hard to judge if this is really worse or just different in the 911 evolution. I'm much less concerned about the front slats than I am about the potential lack of a manual.

If anything that video gave me hope that the vertical fins won’t be as prominent as we’d feared - looks like they are actually movable flaps that sit behind bumper grilles (with horizontal slats). So they might be more hidden than we’d originally thought when it comes to the finished product. I think I’ve been horrified by every test mule and then relieved to see the production version. Bmws have had these types of movable flaps behind the kidney grille for years and you typically only notice if you look closely

I don’t know about that… the photo below is shoplifted from RL. Those vertical slats are fairly prominent, especially on the second car from the left. One thing is certain those vertical slats are on the two different variations. Both variants of the vertical flaps are automatically adjusted just like on the 992.1 without the sport design facia. The current flaps automatically adjust.

Honestly, I don't like them and I'd rather not have them, but I get a feeling we'll get used to them over time.

I just don't get the need for 99.5% of the time.
