New Clutch proper break in, also what actually burn/hurts the clutch

I feel kind of dumb posting this because I have had so many new cars that were manual but the break in period was not just clutch specific but the entire car so it was normal to take it easy on the entire car for the first 1000 miles.

I just got the NSX back yesterday with another brand new clutch, as posted in another thread the first one had some shudder issue.

Anyway being the entire car has around 50k miles on it I obviously only need to concentrate on breaking the clutch in properly.

The dealer told me to drive it like a grandma the first 1000 miles ... what exactly does this mean and does it really make sense.

I understand when taking off from a stop you don't want to ride the clutch or dump it at a high rpm which I wouldn't do anyway.

What actually hurts a clutch other than that ... is it ok when in gear with the clutch fully engaged to bring the rpm's up high ?

What is your advice on breaking it in and how many miles when it is ... thank you !!
