E90 328xi 6-sp... where to sell?
My brother is looking to sell his E90 328xi 6-speed sedan. I remember at some point these were somewhat desirable with a manual. I'm not sure that's still the case The car is located in Colorado.
I'm waiting for him to send me some details on it, but I think it's a 2007. Silver over tan. It's probably got around 150k-170k miles on it. They have done a good job maintaining it with a local indy specialist and it looked nice the last time I saw it, but they're not fanatics about detailing so it's probably in need of a good clay bar, paint correction and protection. He's not on Facebook, and I suspect that's probably not the right place for this car. Are any of the BMW-focused message boards (i.e. Bimmerfest) still seeing traffic? I haven't visited any in years. Seems like there have been a lot of these that have been sold at cars & bids, so maybe that's an option? Thanks for any input. |

Bimmerfest, E90post and BMWCCA classifieds (I'm still a member if he wants me to post it) would be my starting point.
CL and facebook marketplace will get a lot of traffic and a lot of spam.

That's higher miles than you typically see on C&B for cars like that.
Whatever he does, I'd think it would be smart to get a good detail as you suggest to get the best sale price.

FB may generate some spam inquiries, but it's still a really good tool for buying/selling cars

He said it has 162,200 miles on it. He believes the only option is the winter package. Their local indy place checked it out recently and said it could use a new VCG (my brother replaced it at around 80,000 miles) due to a small leak.
I forwarded on the forum suggestions, at least to get some data points on price. Thanks! |

Just an FYI, I would avoid listing it on the BMW CCA website unless you want tons of solicitation via telephone as well as email. I recently listed my parents 2013 X5 50i M Sport and I got hammered. I ended up deleting the ad.
