No idea, but I'd love to hear more about the problem.

Thanks guys!

I discovered a shop and spoke to the owner a few times. He has actually serviced the car fairly recently. He emailed over an example of their PPI report and it appears to be extremely through at 3 shop hours with various photos taken, paint meter readings, and an over-rev report. The car is a one owner, PCA member, manual C2 and it has always resided in Houston. The CarFax is clean which as we all know really does not mean much. It has higher miles than I would prefer, but it is in one of the color combos that I like. Sadly it does not have PSAM or Sport Chrono, but it does have everything else that I would have checked off on in 2009. It at least gets my foot in the 997.2 door and if something better happens to come along I know that I can sell it without taking a bath. Scheduled for PPI next week…

Best of luck! I’m surprised the seller will wait that long in this market.

Edit: True… though the option of the seller getting “cold feet” is not possible this go around. lol
