tire/wheel storage
I'd like to install some sort of storage rack in our garage in CT for the X7 winter / summer tires and wheels (depending on season). Any suggestions? Storing them in a stack in our basement in Boston won't be an option soon.
Thanks! |

There are tons of ways to do this. At my old place I built a simple high-mounted rack using 2x4s leftover from another project. There are also tubular steel ones you can buy from eBay, Griot's, Tirerack.com, etc.

May not be best for you, but something like this can work well, too:
https://www.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-8074.../dp/B0753PNNS8 (Or any furniture dolly type thing.) Vertical storage, but easily moveable and locks on the casters keeps them from moving when you don't want them to. If you're not going to mount the wall mounted ones near the ground, the vertical option means less lifting and more easily controllable drops getting them back on the ground.
