Yeah… I was leaning that way, but I think you’ve nudged me over. I hear that Conti will be doing a promo in November, so I guess I can wait a couple weeks.

If you still need tires, I've been really impressed with the (new version) Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II since we put them on our CR-V. They are worlds better than the OEM Goodyears, but I'm curious to see how well they will do in winter weather.
It was between these, the Continentals, and the Michelin CrossClimates, but the Pirellis had a great rebate deal! |

Ended up putting the order in, so tires will be at Radial on Monday. Paul quoted a price so low that I'm wondering if I misheard.

Conti DWS06+ went on this morning. Haven't actually driven it.
Funnily enough, one of the tire shop guys saw me pull up as he was pulling it out and brought it over to show to me. His verdict is that the DWS is the right tire for the transmission.

Two months in, we're on track to have added 4,000 miles to it by the end of next week. Also, no more ripping the under tray off the E90 in the in-law's driveway. (Eliminating Gettysburg related wear and tear on the E90 was probably sufficient savings to pay for the X5's rehabilitation program.)
I look forward to trying out the DWS tomorrow. I still haven't really driven it since the new tires, but I'm glad the bald tires are off given the current weather.

I wonder how many miles it took to wear off the sidewall like this? Sigh.
