But you should really buy the Panamera wagon.

That is really awesome. Pricey (and big) but awesome.

As you know, I love wagons, but until they offer a hi-po wagon with a stick, I'm going to get a sedan. We have the LR4 (over 4 years now!) and we love it, so there is no need for the extra utility at the expense of getting the desired vehicle.

My spouse has been bitten by the Porsche bug, and has been talking lately about Panameras...But at those prices, it ain't gonna happen.

The 328d is surprisingly pleasant, but I can't imagine that you'd be able to stand the sluggishness. Or the steering.

The seller reports the 6-speeed manual transmission had a weak second gear synchro, and so he had it rebuilt earlier this year by Tick Performance to Level 2 TR6060 spec. The seller inspected the clutch while the gearbox was removed and found that it had more than 50% life remaining.
Seems like it would've been a no-brainer to replace the clutch and PP, as long as you have the transmission out of there. Unless the replacement for that config is overly expensive. Or if you knew that you'd be selling it...

Exactly my thought on the clutch. If you're in there, replace it.

Easily. The updated sedan is a huge improvement over the original, but the wagon still blows it away.

If in many years it turns out these things don't hold their value, I'll consider one for sure.

Just built one--for $146,000. Ack! Makes our X5 50i look like a bargain.

Well. Sure. None of us thought it would be affordable.

Probably depreciate like a rock though.
