Snow tires
Am I going to need snow tires in Atlanta?
FWIW, I have SO3's on. |

No. Just don't drive when it snows.

No you won't... I lived there for 3 years and it only snowed once heavily enough to stick to roads -- and it only impacted the drive for one day (there were a couple of other snows -- but just a light dusting). I was fine taking it slow and letting DSC do its trick.
The Atlanta area essentially just shuts down when it snows, since its not equipped to deal with the snow (they do have a handful of plows/salt trucks -- but nowhere near enough)... Most people don't go to work or go in late.

Thanks, I figured you would chime in.
Guess you don't have to worry about snow now, huh? |

Cripes, I've only lived in FL since July, and I'm already a wimp. What happened to my 34 years of winter training in MN?? |

It's already down to 25° here in NJ.
(Which reminds me of another reason I prefer Macs. To get that degree symbol, all I had to do was press alt-shift-8.)

I can see the ° but "they" may not be able to.
And I replaced the imac's midplane this evening. One little $3 fan that's way too noisy and the fix is to replace the logic board and cpu that the fan sits on. Oh and now the fan isnt as absolute loud, but has an annoying whine the othe one didn't have.

All-in-one models always have fun compromises like that. I don't buy all-in-one macs anymore. aranoid: I still remember having to physically snip resistors on the logic board of my Mac Plus to get it to recognize a full 4 MB of RAM.
