Fuel/MPG apps

I think I'm gonna finally start using one. I've been recording all of my fillups with my M240i and thought I might as well switch to an app.

Anyone with recs or things they've liked or not liked?

I know JV has used Fuelio and clyde used Road Trip, and I've seen Fuelly mentioned on Bimmerpost...

edit: Drivvo is another one I'm seeing

I kept a little wirebound notebook in the Yukon. Kept a log of every fuel stop....
Every few months I would transfer the info to an Excel spreadsheet that allowed me to calculate individual tank milage and a rolling average (across the last 10 tankfuls). I also put some other notes in there....

Other than it being a bit of a memory tool for remembering where we went and what we did - never really did find it useful in a tangible way.

Did that for almost all of the 300,000 miles we had on it.

I can’t remember the app I used for the CTS and Boxster. It was pretty good — easy to enter info when I finished filling up and it had decent reporting.

I just looked in the App Store to see if I could find it, and none of the current apps avail show the cloud icon indicating I had bought an app earlier. Guessing it’s long gone.

Fuelly looks good though — and $8/year subscription isn’t too bad….

I'm still using Fuelio. It works fine for my purposes, which really is just tracking fuel costs (i.e. I don't use it for tracking repairs or other maintenance costs).

I just noticed that Gas Buddy now has a mileage tracking, but requires creating an account. Anyone tried it?

I deleted GasBuddy last summer. It steered me really wrong on several road trips in a row... Closed gas stations, prices way wrong. Went from a really useful app to junk.
