I didn't realize there was a pipeline issue until I heard about it on marketplace's Monday episode (which I listened to Tuesday morning). Driving past the usual stations on my way to work this morning, nothing looked out of the ordinary.

Some quick mental math tells me I've got several weeks of commuting without filling up before it would be a problem for us.

Gas prices spiked noticeably over the weekend. (Over 50 cents.) They've stayed pretty stable since, but I think that that's basically reflecting price cap limits.

Two minutes after we got back to the hotel Saturday, Kevin said, "Oh shit...CNN says..."

I haven't been out today, but neighbors have been posting pics of lines and stations out.

The Gas Buddy guy is saying there's plenty of fuel at racks, but not enough trucks to transport.

The good news is that there don't appear to be lines at the expensive stations near me. I hear that it sucks at the historically low price stations.

Hm. The Royal Farms on my way to the climbing gym this morning was nominally the same price as usual (+/- $.05)

A year ago, people were injecting bleach at the suggestion of a lunatic. Today, people are pouring gasoline into grocery store plastic bags. We are doomed.
