Anonymous is one of the few things even more cringeworthy than Elon Musk.
But hoo boy Elon was really trying to recapture the top spot last night at the Plaid reveal. Anyway, idiocy like the fucking yoke steering wheel and no shift levers aside, there were a few positive tidbits from last night. Providing a second screen, phone charging, and a tri zone climate control looks like it will improve the backseat a fair amount. The new software finally appears to allow you to resize map and car control UI elements. This is a big deal and I’m hopeful they’ll port it to the Model 3. There’s also faster supercharging and a set of motors that seem to have some real advantages in terms of their ability to keep producing power at higher RPM. Overall, though, kind of a yawner. Car is super fast. That’s cool. |

The new steering wheel is just as stupid as we thought: https://osultan.smugmug.com/Cars/Ref...42tn/i-MqTr9SD

It's like they're actively trying to make their cars less appealing.
It's working |

Lol came here to post this.
This would be a dealbreaker for me, if I were looking at a Model S—or if it spreads to the Model 3. |

Funny enough one of the features they are touting on the redesigned model is wireless controller compatibilty:
"Up to 10 teraflops of processing power enables in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles. Wireless controller compatibility lets you game from any seat." At this point I'm not sure if 'd even be surprised if they actually made it so you could control the car w/ a game controller. |
