Knocking frantically on wood, I haven't had a problem yet.

The dark wheels aren't what I would have chosen, but they have grown on me. They look especially striking in low light.

Dark wheels on the 2 as well. Also agree about them growing on you and hiding brake dust unpleasantness. But I think in the case of my car, the mirrors and front grille need to be dark as well to make it all work. No rush on that, though.

I do think the 2 series is a little bulbous looking as compared to the e46 M3, for instance. Pedestrian safety measures taking their toll?

I don't love the looks of the 1 series, except for the 1M. Its meanness really elevates its appearance.

M2 is more attractive as well than the 2 series it's based upon. All that's strategic, I guess.
