Eh. It requires a pretty serious interior detail, but they'll come out. You have to, at an absolute minimum, pull out the front seats.

Edit: Fun fact: An accordion funnel hose works GREAT for getting into smallish crevices like the inside of the door. That's one reason why I do this myself - I know damned well that no one will clean up that shit as well as I will.

And yeah, I generally recommend not connecting the rear defroster in an E30. If you really need it, I highly recommend a light tint just to hold the glass together when it fails.
