Am I bad for my first thought being, "Why don't you gift her yours and get a new one for yourself?"

Is it more efficient to drive a Raptor, or use the Raptor to charge the Tesla and drive the Tesla instead?

I’m still in insurance limbo land. I’ve received about $400 out of over $1800 I incurred for rental car costs while my car was in the shop. I’m also holding on the diminished value claim until that is settled. I’ve had multiple adjusters assigned (keep getting people that leave...) and I spoke with the current adjuster on Monday, they are reviewing and will get back to me, but based on Monday’s call, they are claiming delays were the fault of the body shop (which is not true - the shop worked on the car once parts were in). If I don’t get a good answer on Friday, I’ll be finding an attorney...

No fricking way would I do that to my mom. I’ll only keep this 3 until the Y comes out next year. Can’t wait to get rid of it. I love the car, but don’t trust it for the long haul. Not only is the trunk still leaking (not horrible, but a few drips), but it going back into the body shop in Dec to fix an issue with the paint from the repair - the top coat is flaking off on the rocker panel below the drivers door (which was sprayed to blend)...

When explaining how it's better to tow the Tesla, he failed to include that ICE engines are more efficient under load. I suspect that's a key part of why it worked out that way.

Absolutely. Specifically, that test was done towing at a constant speed - no braking or accelerating (basically). Ideally, you could have had a FAR more optimized and efficient towing vehicle to make it look even better. That is, a vehicle that is lighter, with a smaller diesel engine, lower friction tires (and less drag FWIW at those speeds), etc.
