In case people haven’t been tracking, it will have the powertrain from the XM. So plug in hybrid, 738 hp.

Sure, but it's massively heavier. That said, always happy to see awesome wagons.

hate to be complainer but by the time we finally get a M5 touring it is fat ,ugly, and overly complex

(guess overly complex is standard german so nothing new)

You are not alone in complaining. I’m right there with you, Jeff.

I was pretty sure this would happen—given the competition from Audi. But, where’s the M3 Touring? That would be ideal and a chunk cheaper.

Still probably 100k, though, or more for the M3 version.

Guess I’ll stick with my faux wagon gran coupe.

Yeah the m3 touring is a bit more interesting for me. I might be able to put up with the slushy for the awd/rwd practicality with turbo inline 6.

I thought I posted about this a few weeks ago when my neighbor told me about it. He is always bringing home rides with MFG plates and even sometimes a camo X model.

Glad they're doing it and I hope its successful so as to encourage more wagons coming to the US. It is a bit of a bummer that the model they've chosen to do this with is rather ugly, heavy, expensive and complex. That being said, the RS6 is also heavy, expensive and complex yet I really want one.

I'd be really happy with a 5 wagon with the x5 phev power train. That would be perfect
