I would just like for RIVN to bounce back to what I dropped for the IPO so I can dump it.

Any info on that 40k loss per unit? Just curious cause I often see dramatic numbers like that thrown around but when you dig deeper it turns out that it’s a not on a per unit basis; it’s factoring in the overall r&d cost. If you use that metric any newly designed car will have a loss for the first couple years until they sell enough to recoup the development costs

We are beginning to see a rather large influx of the R1S (SUV) around town. I am seeing multiple units on a daily basis. So far every driver has also been a female.

Interesting..I see more tech bro types driving them around me

I haven’t looked at the numbers but yes I would assume it’s that - fixed cost amortization vs. actual variable costs per vehicle. If the variable cost per vehicle exceeded what they could sell them for they’d be better off just turning off the lights in the factory and giving up.

It is literally not worth crap now, have to hold onto it for the long-term. My former $13k is now $2k.

Exactly - I think those concepts get conflated when you see these sensationalist loss numbers (with any brand)
