Seemed awfully silly to me, honestly. Made me think the owner has more money than common sense.
The B7 might make a nice used car purchase, though--I think they're in the 50s used.

You can't get an extended warranty for them, since it is considered a specialty car and not a "BMW". BMW won't CPO it either since they are just the distributor and not technically the manufacturer.

I have not heard of any unique reliability concerns, but then again there are so few of them on the road. It could be a good buy... or it could be a huge money pit.

I saw an Enzo this morning...

First time I've ever seen one on a public road. I've seen a few others (and a couple FXXs), but only at Goodwood, the Fiorano test track, or at an auction.

This is certainly not the fanciest car, but it was unusual in that

(a) it was very clean, and

(b) it is not the kind of car you usually see on the used car lot at the local Porsche/Bentley dealership

Those are such rare sights these days. In the past year, I've seen a few very nice restorations. My favorite, though, was in San Diego sometime around 1990. It was green and pristine. License plate was "36HP MAX"

The only place I see these nowadays are in California. Used to see them all the time when I was a kid.

Yeah, particularly socal...but there also such higher density of cool old cars being used as daily drivers in general. One of the things I miss about living there.

One of my cousin's uncles has a Baja Bug version. I got to drive it down on the sand dunes in Oregon. Those original bugs were actually pretty cool cars. There was a surprising amount of room inside and I appreciated it's mechanical layout and the implication it had for the rest of the car.
