I was fighting evening light as I was taking the pics after work yesterday. Interior came out a bit dark. Sat in the back seat for the first time, it might be favorite place in the car, after the front passenger seat. If only I had a driver...

It really is quite attractive. If it had the third row, it might tempt me to consider it.

What?! That is an SUV. Who are you and what have you done with TD?

The point being that such a vehicle is not relevant to me unless it has the ability to hold more people than a normal wagon.

That utility is meaningful at this point in my life. Not enough so for me to quest for such a vehicle. But equ's example is unusual in it's color choices and I'm surprised at how much I like the look. So if it did have that functionality, I'd be tempted to consider it.

It's a damn sharp looking truck.

Is it possible to retrofit the third row, or are the parts involved too daunting?

You'd have to change the 2nd row seats, and add belts, brackets, sliders, etc.. That has to be pricey.

Can anyone with legs even fit back there?

I haven't looked at them recently, but I remember going with my brother in law to see a few options (among them the XC90 and X5), and both of those were comically small, verging on useless even for bigger kids.

X5's are beautiful. No doubt about it.
