VW GX3? Any interest?
Any interest in this weird trike thing? It's bizarre, but probably offers the kind of no frills experience found in a Seven or Atom for much, much less.

It certainly won't replace a car, and I already have a motorcycle which is significantly faster.
So... meh. |

It's pretty cool. But I'd consider it as a track only vehicle. Otherwise it's a death trap looking for an Excursion or Escalade to run or roll over it.

Can't autocross a motorcycle, though. Wonder where they will class this? |

An Elise is a bit different, it's a four wheeled vehicle with a roof and a trunk. It can be used as a car. This would be tough to use as a car - it's more comparable to a motorcycle. Maybe I'm splitting hairs. |

If this thing really becomes available, ISTM there'd be a strong argument/good deal of support for including it in the SCCA autox classifications. |

But I have no proof, so I might be just making things up. |

A car like that for $17,000 would be pretty fricking cool. I think there's definitely a niche out there for something like it.

Yeah. *raises hand* I hope they're not bullshitting. $17k sounds really good. The other alternatives are much more (Campagna, Ariel, Caterham, Radical, etc). *Edited for info 5.7 0-62 time 46mpg city 1.6L 125 hp and 112.5 ft-lbs 1,257lbs Last edited by Jason C; 03-16-2006 at 11:43 AM. |
