Either that engine has been consuming some oil, or I'm just way too used to how clean engines look when they burn E85.

I think that the answer is E85. Also this motor has around 100k on it. Prior to the spun bearing, I did leakdown and compression test and all of that was nominal. With a re-ring, it should be in good shape.

Oh, the 100k explains it then. For some reason I thought this engine had been refreshed more recently.
