What is the current recommended OBD code reader/reset device?

Just OBD, or do you need functionality beyond that?

I guess maybe CAN also.

So far out, not sure.

But Fiat threw a Check Engine at the track yesterday. It cleared after about 6 - 8 starts, but I really should have a reader and reset tool.

So, the Foxwell NT5150 isn’t bad for an OBD reader plus a lot of factory service functionality.

Otherwise, the cheap $20 OBD readers work fine. I have this OBD reader, but you can go way cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Autel-AutoLin...ve_ship_o1_img

If you do a lot of BMW specific stuff, the mycarly app with their code reader is good. It used to be a lot better before they went to the subscription service. Luckily I'm grandfathered into the pay once model, but it is very feature rich.
