I'm far from a master but with little more than rods and pistons that 2.3L block and crank is good for around 700hp.

Just a wild ass guess here, but I'm guessing Ford's AWD system for the Fusion won't like 700hp

Around-town driveability will be compromised with a turbo big enough for 700hp anyway. |

I wouldn't mind driving one of those. 310hp is more than adequate for that size of a car.
Saw some video by Doug DeMuro who said the Mustang GT with a stick is one of the best value cars there is. I believe it. 450hp for $38k starting price.

I think Mustang convertibles are pretty awesome.
I have never owned one, but have rented one whenever I can. I think the interior fit and finish is nice and the engine, even if it’s the ancient 3.8L V6, is just fine.

I last rented a Mustang 'vert in 2009. Its brakes cooked in SoCal hills (not even mountains). I had to return it to swap to a rather uncomfortable Solstice which actually had a working braking system.
