Yep. It’s an odd choice in a large family vehicle built for Americans. Not as bad as I thought it would be though.

The new MB GLE comes standard with 2.0 4cyl. And the Volvo XC90 is 4cyl only. Agree, that seems like a lot of car for an engine that small.

True. I think most buyers wont' know or care. The car is quiet enough and they've added enough vibration dampening to the driveline that it's not too noticeable. Main thing you notice is soft response from a stand still. Seems like reivewers aren't too impressed with the 3.0T powered Q7 fwiw (and I think that's the version JST drove that inspired his Q7 rant thread).
