Apparently it has a heat pump. My comment was for effect. But heating the car understandably quite a drain on the car.

As an example, when fully charged following a brief cold drive, the range showed 63 miles, instead of 83-85 miles.

Yes, I get the same thing. You also have the battery heater, which is also probably killing your range.
