Having now read the article and the comments, I view this as confirmation that no one should attempt to write about the SCCA solo rules. It's just not worth it.

Unfortunately, so long as they take that content on it has all the appearances of being Jalopnik content.

Perhaps they should be more selective of what they allow.

They should probaly make it clearer that it's essentially a user comment that they elevated, though once you know what to look for you can tell.

Really, though, with Jalopnik and other free sites, we get what we pay for.

TSLA getting hammered on weak China demand. Will be an interesting day on that one.

Yes, the weak China demand and the problems they had with the D launch are going to be interesting. I read a paraphrase of Musk's comments from his speech last night that said something like "we expected to deliver X cars and we sold even more than that;" the difference between "sold" and "delivered" seems potentially meaningful.

I am not sure I buy that the China problem was "communication" issues that have since been solved.

Bottom line for people thinking about long-term TSLA plays, though, is a) where do you expect the price of oil to be in 2019, when the Model 3 is likely to be entering volume production, and b) do you think that the Model S and Model X will provide enough breathing space for Tesla to get there?

I think the answer to both of those questions is favorable to Tesla. If the stock drops significantly, this might be a very good buying opportunity for the long run. In the short run, though, I think there's probably some downside. I don't see much really good news breaking over the next 2 months or so (i.e., before the reveal of the Model X production prototype, which will happen who knows when), and I assume the price of oil will stay fairly low during that time.

Is this what you meant to say?

Is it true that Tesla thinks they will sell 500,000 cars in 2020? Is that a true on the record projection?
