If the money isn't a concern, then I can't think of any reason not to say "fuck it". Do what makes you happy.

I did that at 39. Dumped a 1.5-year-old auto, non-sport 330i (my first automatic) and bought a sport with a stick. Great decision.
I, too, will be 59 this year. How did that happen? |

It's morning.

This would be such 'equ' move, it's not even funny... Sometimes I think in spreadsheets and needs and sometimes in emotions. The problem is that those spreadsheets are not perfectly rational either, there is plenty of bias... I don't know either Alfa well enough to have an opinion. I do know that, for me, day in day out, a car like an e46 M3 or pretty much any 2-seater porsche is not as good to have as a softer f10 535i or f30 340i or e90 330i or 335i (as long as 6-cyl, stick and semi-decent suspension are preserved). I prefer the latter for rough roads, winter, longer range, peace and quiet on the highway. Maybe recent Quad or M cars have enough of a dual personality, I'm not sure. If I wasn't allowed to have more than one car, it'd be tougher. I think I'd have to have an M3 in that case and have it do everything. |
