That, dear friends, is a Grand Prix SE, the lowest trim level on that generation. Based on the shape of the fascia, it's post-2000 (IIRC) but pre-2004. I'm fairly certain they came with a 3.1L V6, a truly sorry powerplant that had neither the cachet of the 3800 or the (relative) power of the supercharged 3800.

This particular one apparently was converted to RWD. That, or drag slicks in the rear are helping to offset the lift from that awesome wing.

Not exactly a car, but the first commercial application i've seen of the Michelin airless tire

This was notable not just because it was a sweet old Chevy, but because it was parked outside a diner we were at that has been serving the same broaster chicken on the same counter and swivel chairs with the same decor since the 50s and driven by an old woman who looked like she had been coming there for broaster chicken since all 3 of them were new.
