Macadamia over cocoa full leather is a very brown look, but I dig it. At least it's not silver.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...e-boxster-s-2/

The weird mileage issue here might keep the price low.

Just for kicks, plugged in my 981S info to carvana. Sight unseen, without accounting for 2 PCA owners, full records, rarity of 18-way seats, full leather, PTV (lsd), PASM, PSE, S/C combo, $91.5mspr, matching Porsche N0 tires, the offer was...

$47650

as trade (it's at 26.6k miles). That's equivalent to $50800 with tax benefit. I think nearly mid-50's is achievable if I get to work on BaT or rennlist/pca/other sites.

Huh, something to think about.

But, what would you/could you buy?

I plugged my 2 in as well: $33,786. No accounting for its LSD, but that might not bump it more in the real world.

And, what would I buy? I suppose that would get me a new Miata.

The market is ridiculous. It does make you think. Sit on the cash for 12 months and re-evaluate the market then.

This really isn't the thread for it, but yes. Car market is all kinds of fucked up and nuanced particulars don't matter. Used inventories are still limited and there is very little new car inventory...and tons of demand for both. Driving to and from Lincoln last week, it was startling to see how empty dealer lots were.

How empty are dealer lots? I'd have to go about 200 miles from DC to get a new replacement RAV4 Hybrid for my wife at MSRP if I took Carmax up on their $25k offer yesterday for the less than perfect 2019 with 55k I paid $28k for twenty six months ago. If I wanted to pay $4k or more over MSRP, I could buy one of the very few available local cars.

It's insane.

Nice 2007 981S here:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-boxster-s-10/

Low miles so the price is going to be a little silly, plus the seller appears to have a good rep and gets high $$ for his cars. But it's a neat color.

Yes but we don’t have a separate 987 thread. And I think FC should buy a 987 again, anyway.

...and sold for $35,500, which is absolutely nutso money for a 987.1, even in low miles with a desirable color.
