I've never driven a manual one of these, but I remember driving a stick SLK back in 2000ish and thinking it was just awful. One of the worst manuals I've driven.

I bet that one could do a lot for that win a lathe and some delrin stock. And maybe a better clutch.

I always wished our C55 was a manual. The chassis and the engine are perfect. The tranny blows.

I drove a 2007 SLK 350 back when it was new. Not sporty at all, "drove bigger than it looked". Only thing I liked was the Airscarf feature. Also drove a SL550 a couple of years back. Same, I actually preferred the plain E550 to it. A more honest drive.
