Michelin Hydroedge vs. Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred

Getting ready to buy four new tires for my g/f's minivan.

I'm sorta leaning towards Michelin, because rumor has it that Michelin's quality control is somewhat better.

I suppose being ranked 2nd behind the GY at the Tire Rack website, it really shouldn't matter, as their tread pattern is quite similar. Then again the Triple Tred looks a bit more aggressive, which is probably why it scored a little higher in the snow.

Costco can install and mount the Hydroedges for $460, with free lifetime puncture repair, free balance and rotation, nitrogen-filled, yada, yada. I wonder if Sears can beat that with the Triple Treds....

I think that Goodyear makes some of the lowest quality mainstream tires out there. And I think that Michelin makes some of the best.

Based on personal experience, as well as most everything I read "out there".
