If one bothers to read the email from Porsche Cars North America PTS for the 992 is sold out for model year 2024. SOL… I have been informed as well as read on Rennlist that those individuals that cannot acquire PTS for 2024 are already on waitlist for PTS for MY25. PTS is backlogged and will be indefinitely.

Yep!

Rumor has it that the current $13k is going to see another price increase. It is suspected the reason PAG keeps increasing it is an attempt to strangle consumer demand. It is simply to popular, even at $13k.

That’s crazy; honestly Porsche should increase the PTS charge to 20k or so and then add a more limited selection of premium colors for like 10. That might dampen demand for the truly hard to schedule weirdo colors.

I figure Porsche has to have a good sense of what the most popular PTS colors are (probably 6 different shades silver).

This. I was totally happy with keeping $13k and getting aventurine, or really any decent blue or green color. They just keep limiting the palette to 8 shdes
of gray (white -> black), 3 Reds + Shark, Gentian and Racing Yellow.

Yeah- I've wondered that too. It seems like they've been decreasing rather than increasing the number of standard and premium colors recently. I thought that was an attempt to push more people to spend money on PTS, but apparently that's not the case. And yeah, PTS requests are basically free market research for them to help determine what colors are popular with customers. Ancedotally it seems like greens have made a comeback so I'm still surprised that there are no greens available (in fact they recently axed Aventurine)

I am already on the waitlist for a 992.2 C2S and a T, but I did stipulate that I wanted PTS on either one.

This is a render of the most recent 992.2 spy photos. Dead ringer… 2nd pic confirms that the analog tachometer is gone. There was large speculation that was going to happen and this photo clearly confirms it.

That looks hideous.

I don’t care about the all glass instrument panel, but those vertical vanes look stupid.

The values of 992.1’s just went up.
