I remember from my 2011? (can't even remember the year) x5. Wheels mounted with tires weighed from the high 60's up to 80+ lbs.

We had 19s on our 2009 X5 (18s for winter). I could barely lift them in my late 40s, early 50s. And I have reached a more advanced milestone now. My wheel schlepping/hoisting days are done.

I discovered that you can call a number, enter your VIN, and the automated voice will tell you when your car is scheduled to be finished. They told me 10/5, so we'll see I guess. After being stuck on "entering production" my car moved up to entering the assembly line today. Pretty neat.

I read that they're moving pretty fast in Spartanburg.

Yeah I have heard the same. There are fewer configurations now that they have removed a bunch of options. Maybe that has something to do with it.

It's a bummer they got rid of the acoustic glass option for the X3. People are fussing about that.

Car is in final quality check, and then it is ready for transport. Must have been assembled overnight.

Acoustic glass? sounds as viable as dealer installed paint sealant

The online tracking can lag reality by a day or two. But maybe you did get one off the midnight shift! They get here quickly so start prepping for delivery in the next 7-10 days. 👍🏼

Yeah, it's now "awaiting carrier assignment." Looks like I should get my ducks in a row.
