It's also worth noting that the S50/S52 are motors that, IMO, do not sound that good with a loud exhaust. It's a far too tame version of the S54 sound.

I will note that a friend has the Billy Boat exhaust on his S54 MZ3, and it's a very de-S54ed sound if you like that.

My father and brother drove (and drive) Peugeots. The 605 looks like its cheaper 405 brother so not much interest from me. I assume it's FWD like the 405.

As a 8 to 10 year old into cars, I remember the swank 604 in our neighborhood that I coveted very much (while we drove around in a 403 and our friends had a 504). All those were rwd. The 604 was a peugeot's top car slotting against maybe the w123; though that was a tough competitor to beat.

54K mile ZHP?

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2003-bmw-330i-zhp-26/

The fact that someone ordered this in silver with leather seats really just makes me sad.

Given how horribly the alcantara seats aged, I can't really object to that today. The color is just sad, though.

I have to say that my ownership experience with the ZHP has really made me shy away from Alcantara. I babied that car. The seats held up ok, but the steering wheel still was swapped at 35-40 miles.

It's great stuff, but I think it works well on toy cars that see less than 3k miles per year.

As for the colors, yes, super lame. But it was probably a dealer.

What I have learned is that alcantara pilling is actually pretty easy to deal with. Just sand it. Literally. With sandpaper. But there's only so many times that you can do that.

Here's a black one. Market just set by the other one, so...$25K?

M3 hood is weird but other than that it looks like a neat car.
