Opinons on the NY Auto Show

My son & I will be in Manhattan while the show is going on. Is it worth attending? Does BMW typically have a owners lounge?

If you're going to be in NYC anyways, might as well go to it.

I've been the past few years and don't recall seeing a BMW owner's lounge.

I went once -- 13 years ago I think. I've also been to Geneva ('92), Detroit ('01), and Frankfurt ('05).

If you've never been, go. I still am mad at myself for not realizing that I was in Tokyo the same week as the '07 show opened -- but my flight home was on opening day. Had I known, I would have stayed one more night and gone to the show!

Yes, it's worth going to. Not as impressive as Detroit, but a cut above DC.

Detroit didn't have a BMW owner's lounge this year, so I doubt there would be one in New York. VW did, though...

Rumor has it the new f15 X5 will be there.

Sure, if you're in the city, go. No owner's lounge though, and it gets crowded mid-day.

Your son will love it.

I have heard that as well. Not sure I believe it, but then again F15 production begins in August. It will be fairly larger, a true 7 passenger SAV.

Done... I spent the additional money and pre-purchased tix to get in an hour (9am) before it opens to the public at 10.
