Oh cool, sounds like a great trip! And that class is a huge amount of fun.
FWIW, it’s actually not affiliated with Skip Barber; Barber Motorsports Park is a different Barber. But my sense is that getting taught by Porsche works drivers is even better… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George...er?wprov=sfti1 |

2025 BMW Z4 M40i Debuts With Manual Gearbox For $69,950
Not to sidetrack but I love that pic of your old Audi cabriolet. For some reason, Ive gotten into 80s and 90s Audis recently. I’ve flirted repeatedly with getting an Audi but never pull the trigger
Sounds like you should keep the 1 series c since you love it and it checks so many boxes. On the other end, I don’t see you being happier with a z4 manual than your current 911 and likely the 911 costs less to own due to lower depreciation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Totally lost me there.
@Dan per my own 53 years on this earth a lot can also happen during that amount of time as life tends to eff things up more often than not. Clearly that’s my personal take. Edit: I will elaborate, my own health issues are what pushed me to take a 992 T allocation as opposed to what I really wanted, a 992.1 C2S Coupe allocation. Moral of the story… things generally do not work out as planned. Last edited by SCA; 03-10-2024 at 01:49 PM. |

Sorry, should have stipulated convertible. Top down experience + manual transmission is a requirement for me.

We're finalizing the plans and may need to arrange it with a return through Myrtle Beach because our niece is getting married down there one of the Oct weekends. My wife and I will both be doing the 2 day Performance Course either Oct 1/2 or 7/8: Quote:

The Hot Lap sounds like it could be lame but in fact it was among my favorite parts of the course; by that time I’d just gotten good enough to not be scared of the track and the hot lap was an extremely visceral reminder of how big the gulf is between that and where the pro drivers are, skill-wise.
Make sure to check out the museum on the grounds while you’re there. It has some neat cars and a lot of very cool bikes. |
