Yeah, but would you ever buy a RWD X3?

That's kind of my issue. Why buy an X3, if it doesn't offer any advantages besides more room than my RWD 2?

These days, other than moving over the next few weeks, I don't have any need for hauling. No teenage boys cramming into the car for Chipotle runs.

I had a new one (150 miles on the Odom) for a week last fall, it’s not bad. I put 1200+ highway miles on it, gets great MPG and at speed. I do like the many improvements within ID7 as well as the live cockpit cluster. The interior materials are subpar though, especial when compared to a F15 or a G05.

Yea, but you’re in New York. What if you lived in south Florida or Los Angeles and never had to worry about snow?

LA, you might go visit the mountains. In Florida, you might drive in a muddy field. If you're going to have a car that drives like crap because it's too tall, it should at least be capable of bare minimum utility.

I don't understand why BMW offers it at all. There's no way that BMW is saving enough money to make the certification costs worth it, and I have a really hard time believing that having that model actually benefits sales. Sure, people buy it because it's cheaper, but would those people really be deterred from buying an AWD X3 if BMW didn't offer it? Also, how many people buy these things thinking that there's no way a 2WD X3 exists and end up really unhappy?

I wouldn't be surprised if the number was greater than 50%.
