I look occasionally at the market because of my particular car which is a 2012 1/2 991.1S manual and it seems in the last few years the price hasn't budged (it has gone up recently due to Covid like every other cool car). |

A tale of new 997s.
2005 997.1S, in a nice color with an interesting interior, but a bit rough in terms of wear (the tan interiors don't wear well). 60K miles, some needs. Current bid? $12.5. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-carrera-s-63/ 2011 997.2GTS, in white (blah) over black (blah), only 4K miles, essentially as new. Current bid? $71K https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...arrera-gts-15/ |

Not a fan of the center-lock wheels, but I agree silver would be better. And the lack of sport seats is irritating. Otherwise it's a great spec, which makes me even more puzzled about why the buyer never drove it. And honestly for the price it will go for, I'd rather have a 997.1 GT3. |

White works on the 911 because you so rarely see them in that color. The boring colors are the ones everyone buys. Steel gray, light gray, dark gray, silver and black.

I think this one looks awesome ... yeah I know a lot of you don't like black wheels. |

The resale thing is interesting. My bet is on a 911, bland colors sell faster (particularly on the used car lot), but that unique colors are actually worth more in the long run.
