Well... This picture is NOT recent....
Actually - it is when I drove the Mustang in my HS Homecoming parade in the fall of 1981.

A fella that was always taking pictures (back then) - scanned some of them and posted them. You can see me - but the girls were the main thing.

Thought I'd share - kind of fun looking back through all these shots...

What's the "man's store" in the background?

A story in and of itself, apparently.

As interesting as the mustang is, my eyes quickly went to check out the dune buggy behind you

Lol yeah that dune buggy was pretty cool ... totally noticed it and thought that picture could have been taken right out of a scene from a movie !!

Yeah - I know...
Back then, there were all sorts of interesting cars us kids drove to school.
Dune buggy's
Camaro's
Big lifted 4x4 trucks were just starting to get 'mainstream'
Little econ boxes (Toyota Corona and Honda CVCC mostly)
Subaru Brats were all over the place
AMC (Gremlin, Pacer, Eagle, I had a good friend who had his Dad's old Javelin)
My best friend had a 72 Dodge ... ugh..... something... Not Duster... Oh yeah - Demon
There were a few station wagons in the mix too.
Don't remember any that had a British car though...
I pretty good variety.

Funny thing is that this picture is the only one he had in his collection of the parade.

Yeah - I did my share of clothes shopping there - back when I lived in town. At least the 'nice' clothes I had to get.
They closed in 2006 or so. Couldn't keep up with the changing retail market. Too bad the building was lost. It was a good size structure and would have made a good alternate use.... would it have been allowed to.

We're close to a bunch of Amish/Mennonite farms. They have awesome produce for pennies compared to chain store pricing. We like to decorate our place for fall so it all works out well.
