4-door E36 M3s make me sad.

I mean, why have a back seat if you can't access it?

The E36 sedan non M or M had a considerable bit more body flex than the coupe if I recall correctly. I owned a ‘93 325i 5 speed from 95-98 and always regretted not getting the coupe. I was in mid 20s and had been in a serious relationship for years and we did not really utilize the rear seats. OT, she had a Volkswagen Cabriolet, what a POS.

They were very easily accessible and the sedan looks frumpy.

I am against coupes. Why do they no longer make four-door convertibles? I’ve been stuck with coupe bodies because that’s all I can get in a sporty convertible.

I always thought that the reverse was true, since the 4 door had smaller door openings, but maybe I'm misremembering.

I’m neutral on e36 sedans vs coupes. I do think the current 3 series (and competitors) look ridiculous as coupes since they are so big. Pointlessly huge doors make me sad.

Ditto. Also, more rigidity because of B pillar.

Every 4 door e36 I've driven had felt creaky. But small sample size.
