It will take a while to go through all the media, but I grabbed a screen capture from the top speed footage my wife took with the GoPro. It is cropped. She didn't capture the road, but I give her kudos for even trying at those speeds.

I knew I'd get crap for the gloves. I learned from the last trip that in the summer sun hands can get sweaty (at least mine) and make the wheel slippery, so for long drives I wore the gloves.

FWIW, they are actually quite nice. I did not buy them there, they were a Xmas gift.

I have the summer leather/mesh versions and like them a lot. I use them in transitional months when I have the top down, but it’s chilly. Evem with the heated steering wheel, they add an extra coziness.

That's why my wife got them. I kept lamenting that the Miata had heated seats but no heated wheel and on cold days I wish I had gloves. She knew I was planning on getting an M3 so she get them for me. But the reason was the Miata. And I did use them on cold days with the top down.
