It's funny how angular momentum works. In that first instant replay, the vehicle is so sideways it seems physically impossibly for it to be able to recover, but yet, because of the angular momentum it carried (coupled with driver skill/luck), it recovered.

It looks like the first berm at the edge of the original roadway saved the first rollover, and blind shit luck kept him from going over the little cliff a bit further out. Lucky spectators too!
