The blue top is barely acceptable on a cobalt/aqua car, because next to the bright blues it reads as mostly black with a little blue in it.

On a darker blue car I think it would be terrible.

And beige is the worst color for Porsche interiors by a lot.

I kind of dig how rare the blue cars are, because it really makes my car pop. For a 10 year old dentist's Porsche, it gets a lot of looks and comments.

On the earlier 911s, I've always been a fan of Baltic Blue. I had a toy long-nose 911 that color as a kid, so maybe it just reads as right to me, but I love the subtlety of that color in contrast to the various black trim elements on the mid-year cars.

The paint-to-sample Baltic Blue 997 was not as good.

I don't like any of the interior browns they currently offer. I wish they offered something like BMW's old "Natural Brown" or some of the more reddish chestnut browns offered by other manufacturers. Porsche's beiges and espressos just don't work for me.

Didn't ZBB have a really cool warm brown like that in his Boxster or was that FC?

Yeah, I am not a light interior kind of guy. At most I'll tolerate a dark brown.

One of the things that drives me batty is the reflection of the dash on the windshield.

At least my LR4 and the 987S have/had dark brown dashboards so no reflection issues.

On the JGC it bothered me as it was tan.

When/if I get a Boxster it will be black interior unless I find another cocoa brown and it's spec'd perfectly.

That was a full leather option, so ~3k or so IIRC.

The 987 interior certainly does not feel or look cheap.
