I really, really like this car. The only other car I can think of that immediately put a smile on my face was my E36 M3.

I don't know that it's worth $100k but I really like it.

There are a lot of meh cars that cost $100k nowadays.

Right. Some Ford F-150s, for example.

And my car cost $70k with almost all options. I’m sure the Porsche is a better use of those $$, if I had no need of the practical aspects of my car.

But, as with most BMWs, it’s the ultimate compromise car between a mundane/commodity SUV and a real sports car.

It’s a strong one-car solution.

Two-car equations give you so many more options. Ditto, even more cars…

Until I posted them next to each other today on Twitter, I’d never really noticed that the 718 uses exactly the same font as the 993. Very different from the 986/987.

The 987s and 986s used the more italicized numbers (that are still used for "GTS 4.0" on the side of the car):

It looks like the 911s have always used the squarer font.
