2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata

2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring with Premium Package and Sport package $10k.

Just under 100k miles. 6-speed Manual. Silver with black top and black leather interior. HID Lights, heated seats, sport suspension, limited-slip differential, auto climate control, keyless entry, 200W BOSE with 6-CD changer. Records and receipts available.

Two years ago, along with a new windshield, had steering wheel custom re-upholstered in Nappa leather with thumb rests added. An adjustable front sway bar was installed by previous owner that improves handling and reduces lean (original also included). Mechanically, car is in good condition with no issues, warning lights, etc. Everything works and top is in good condition with no tears or leaks. Top was just resealed. Interior is in very good condition. Exterior looks good but has small imperfections and front road-rash. I bought it that way. Always garaged and impeccably maintained using only Shell 93 during my ownership. Used as a 3rd car, added only 20k miles in over 4 years. Will need new summer tires soon. Great car that I will miss but job change forces sale. I have both keys. Clean title on hand.

In addition to regular oil changes, the following preventive and maintenance work was done mostly in the last year using OEM, Genuine Mazda parts: new brakes all around (discs and pads), spark plugs, brake fluid flush, coolant flush, new coolant reservoir tank, new serpentine belt, new thermostat housing unit, MAF & throttle body cleaned, new Duralast Gold battery and new battery cover. Extra set of OEM rear brake pads and leftover OEM coolant included with car.

Winter wheel and tire set is available separately for $600. Bought from TireRack, aluminum alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin X-Ice winter tires in OEM size without TPMS. Only 6k miles on these tires.

I can't believe you've had that for 4 years. Looks really nice, the ad reads well and the pics are good. Hopefully it goes to a good home. Was this part of the GTI plan, or does it mean a Boxster is on the near term horizon.

It's not the right fit anymore. I love it and it's fun. But it doesn't make for a great commuter given my new commute, and a 4th car just strains logistics at home.

I'm ok with a 4th car, but it would have to be something really especial. My wife works from home 100% now, so I drive >95% of the time. A not-crazy argument could be made that they are all mostly "my" cars. And 4 is a lot.

In a few years, and for the right "special" car, I may be ok with a 4th car again.

The reality now is that the LR4 has become a niche car. The main two cars are GTI & M3.

Hmmm... Already have a guy who is very interested wanting to see the car based off Craigslist ad. Suspicious?

Email 1:

Hi there. Please call me at (XXX) 632-2508 about the Miata. Thanks!!

Mike

Email 2
(with no response from me 10 minutes later):

Hello again. I wanted to let you know that I’m a serious buyer and I will not waste your time.
I know your inbox is probably getting flooded with emails about the car so I wanted to say that I will be in the area after 4 today if that works for you. Thanks again

Mike C

Email 3 right after I reply saying I am busy and will be home around 5:30.

Hi there. Can we plan on meeting around 5:30 in (FC's town)? You did a great job explaining everything about the car and it looks pretty good and well cared for. If we can meet I expect to close the deal. The extra tires are a nice bonus to have as well. Thanks

Mike

Guy mostly comes across as really, really eager to buy a convertible. He gave you his phone number and wants to get in front of you asap.

Maybe. But probably not. It needs new tires NOW, and it doesn't look nearly as great up close.

That's cheap for a late NC.

Tentatively sold. Full asking, though I gave him the winter wheels/tires for $300. Gave me $1k in deposit. Comes back tomorrow with bank check in my name and from my bank.
