Hummer EV

https://twitter.com/GMC/status/1379080381341839360?s=20

This ad is awesome because it inadvertently concedes that this giant truck is going to fuck up the infrastructure real bad and then just drive away.

I mean, I like it. The Hummer EV is pleasingly insane. I'm glad it exists.

Wait, I'm supposed to be impressed about the rising suspension? LR's have had that std on a few models for close to two decades now.

"Reserve yours while they last" - at least they seem to be conceding that they break down a lot.

The brand has certainly fallen quite a ways from the AM General civilian Humvee. Fortunately you can still buy a real ex-military one here.

I wonder if GM's tarnishing of the Hummer brand affected AM General's loss of the JLTV contract. Probably not, but I'm sure it didn't help, either.

I don't think you're supposed to be impressed by it.

I am certainly not in the market for one of these and I'm not a fan of the ad, but the EV is IMO the coolest Hummer ever made. Certainly the only one that holds even the smallest amount of my interest. It's infinitely better looking than the Cybertruck.

They burned 2 seconds on a 15 second ad showing it.

Think they were going for a "monster truck" type vibe
