This one is for Clyde:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...cp1-prototype/

I suspect the 5 mph limit would be pretty easy to delete. I also bet that Florida would be happy to let you plate it (only half kidding).

But the story is pretty cool, especially since one of the SVT guys involved in selling it showed up in the comments.

I think there are other ways I would spend the money that this will go for.

There was a bid for $51k and then, zoom, $200k right afterward? Yikes.

The GT prototype was bid to 500K but was RNM.

Meanwhile, I just have to say I am 100 percent in favor of nearly every choice made here, except maybe the strakes on the fenders.

EDIT:

OK, if I'm nitpicking, I don't really dig the contrasting seats. And it could use a better, more retro radio. And maybe a BMW logo horn button.

Other than that, and scraping off the Notre Dame sticker, no edits.

What are those weird black things on the fenders?

Regardless, it's cool. Other than not having A/C. That's not cool.

Yeah, I don't know what those black things are. Maybe meant to evoke the strakes from the Batmobile CSL?

So, at least it sounds like the components are there.

My muscle car fascination has all but completely died but this is just super neat. Much love for 60’s era high hp small blocks.
