The leather pouch seems like it would only work if you were carrying the key around in your bag. It does address a need, though; after a year, the “chrome” on my key had already started to wear from contact with my house keys.
For $20, I’m happy with this look. Plus it makes it easier to tell the Porsche keys apart from my others (which are mostly black). |

Cool loaner indeed.
I had thought that PDKs were now standard on all Porsches, with manuals being a no cost option on models that offered them.

I have had a base Boxster before and did not like it at all in comparison to the manual Boxster S that I previously had. The base engine is certainly more tolerable with the T package. I am really curious as to how it would be with a manual.
On a 992 Carrera T the manual is the default option, the PDK is a zero cost option. |

Just got home. Perfect timing too… not 2-3 minutes after I walked in the door they texted my 7.2 was ready.
I ran both sides of the Foothills Parkway in each direction. 123 miles of behind the wheel time. I like it and a lot… even with the PDK! |

I went over to Fontana and was en route to the dragon when it dawned on me that since the Rennsport rally is this weekend it would probably best that we were not photographed running a service loaner through the dragon
![]() More pics to come… Edit: I will state that this car paired with a six speed manual is probably all anyone really needs for public roads. Obviously YMMV. My Porsche salesman of 40+ years totally agreed. Oh and by the way, he is not some old, crusty fart. He is in his late 50s. Started with the company at the age of 18.
