Panamera question

I am starting to ramp up my car shopping and found the following little blurb about the Panamera:

Quote:
...3.) Because if you ask really, really nicely and don’t mind waiting for a custom-ordered car, Porsche will build you a conventional 400 horsepower, 4.8 liter V8 powered Panamera S or 4S with a six-speed manual...
from this link

I can't find any confirmation that Porsche will really build you a Panamera with a manual transmission, so I'm assuming this article is incorrect. Does anyone here know what the real story is? Honestly, if the GTS were available with three pedals it would be very compelling.

Thanks in advance.

It checks too many boxes for me not to consider it. I've managed to convince my wife that since it's a hatchback, it must be really practical.

Interesting. What were you expecting and what was it like?

This is misleading. I drove on the Monticello track with my E46 325, and was disappointed with the track. (my car sucked too, but that was due to the xi package that was available then)

Have to admit that I'm starting to have a strange fascination with the panamera after initially hating it. I can't afford a new one though so its a moot point. OP what drew you to it over say a 550 with a manual?

Kind of doubt that article as well cause Porsche would have to certify that engine and transmission seperately. And if they went through the expense to do that they wouldn't keep the option super secret. Maybe in Europe it's true.

I tend to doubt it, too, but there's really only one way to find out--call someone at a dealer and ask.

If it's true, I'll buy it from you when you're done with it.

EDIT:

The one thing that has always puzzled me is that the configurator has always listed the PDK as an option, and shown a pic of a manual transmission.
