Yeah- just saw that as well. His is actually the most rave review i've seen of the base Taycan. I was a bit suprised because I thought he'd say that it wasn't fast enough. Sounds like he actually wants to buy one for himself.

Another good review of it that just went out:

Nice - I like his reviews.

Very contrarian review compared to others in some ways:
-he actually likes those base wheels/tires
-didn't really like the Taycan Turbo S that much
-likes the fake noise

Hope someone will eventually get to test one w/ the base suspension. Every review so far has been w/ air suspension.

He does great sports car gt4/gt3 reviews for the street... Very well spoken too.

You know most macan turbo's had air suspension except the one I bought that had steel springs. I didn't trust air suspension to last beyond warranty (I didn't end up keeping it, that's another story) so I went for the steel. The ride was fine. Not indescribably plush, but very good (it still had PASM). And I also felt like I had better "feel" of how weighted the corners of the car were when driving/cornering. It felt more connected than my 535i with DHP.

Coming home from work yesterday, I saw a powder blue Taycan with matching powder-blue wheels.

It looked a lot worse in person than I expected, and not just due to the horrendous color combo.

Ha- I actually don’t think I’ve seen one in person yet. The ability to spec color matching wheels on Porsches gives rise to some ...interesting choices.

Funny enough I saw a 911 turbo in that same powder blue (gulf?) yesterday.

Yeah I feel the same way about air suspension. Our current car has it and while it does a great job of smoothing large bumps I find that it feels a little bouncy on typical poorly maintained roads. If I ever did get a taycan, it wouldn’t have rear steer, active roll bars or air suspension. They do come standard with PASM as far as I can tell.
