ouch.

credit ford for making a rapid recall. but i wonder why this didn't come out during testing?

sounds like the supplier also doesn't have the facilities to fab. the control arms in a clean environment.

From the description, it sounded like it was due to impurities that build up in the tooling over time. If I read that right, I wouldn't expect the problem to manifest itself during testing when all thats being tested are the first few units produced.

i'd want the forged pieces in my $150k car anyway. why the hell would i want the hybrid cast pieces?

little things like that are acceptable in the blue collar vette, not so acceptable in the "supercar".
